The above steering committee met Thursday 8th of May for the second time and we will meet each fortnight before the #edchatnz twitter chat. At 8.00pm we hangout with an open doc where we plot our ideas for the up coming conference.

The aim of the conference is to connect and empower all educators, but in particular the #edchatnz community. We plan to do this by hosting some stunning New Zealand educators at the brand new Hobsonville Point Secondary School. #edchatNZ serves to connect and empower passionate, proactive educators, and the conference is aiming to do the same.

Currently this is where the organisation is up to. The date has been set for August 8 and 9. Registrations open by the end of this week beginning May 23rd. A form is currently being finalised.

If you are interested in presenting at #edchatnz conference we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for sponsors and call in all our favours. If you have any links, please use the contact form on this page to let us know of send us a message on Twitter to Danielle at @MissDtheTeacher or @edchatNZ.

To keep costs right down because we want you all to join us, we will have caterers prepare food, but this will be extra on top of registration. So those of you saving your PD budget, bring a packed lunch.

Coming up this week we will clarify #edchatnz lanyards, our billeting form to host out of towners and our registration form.

Keep checking back here for more information as we develop a first of its kind conference!
